Classroom Volunteers
Play and interact with children in our Therapeutic Classrooms. Being a Classroom Volunteer requires a positive attitude, sense of humor, and lots of patience. Volunteer opportunities are available in our Infant, Toddler and Preschool Classrooms, Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Fridays from 9 a.m. to noon.
Special Events and Community Outreach
Become an advocate for FDC! Represent us at community events. Requires a personable and approachable demeanor, the ability to lift/carry/ set up items. Shifts vary.
Fundraising
Join in our current fundraising efforts or help to create one of your own (with Board of Directors approval)! This opportunity requires interest and/or experience in fundraising and a plethora of imagination.
Board of Directors
Elected Board Members govern FDC and contribute to its leadership. Being part of our Board of Directors requires leadership skills and time. Meetings are once per month for two to three hours, not including separate committee meetings.
Interns
FDC offers some unpaid internships within our therapeutic classrooms. Internships require enrollment in a relevant field of study and dependability.
Clothing Closet
Sort, fold and organize donations. The clothing closet requires some lifting, bending, standing and organizational skills.
