For all children, infancy through early childhood is a critical time of tremendous complexity. Depending on their experiences, each child's potential to become a healthy adult can be maximized, diminished or even lost.
Family Development Center is a private, non-profit program proven to strengthen and preserve high-risk families and keep their vulnerable young children safe and healthy.
The mission of Family Development Center is to provide comprehensive early childhood and strength-based family education programs, designed to strengthen families, and committed to preventing child abuse and neglect. We serve families with young children prenatally through 5 years of age.
The services we provide are free of charge thanks to support from: private donations, C. Giles Hunt Charitable Trust, Cow Creek Umpqua Indian Foundation, Douglas Community Fund, Lilja Family Fund, Mercy Foundation, Meyer Memorial Trust, Noble B. Goettel Charitable Foundation, Oregon Community Foundation, Roseburg Rotary Foundation's Annual Duck Race, The Ford Family Foundation, United Way and Whipple Foundation Fund.
